I've seen it all, except for the Tsunami Looking for people to share my violent and awesome weather stories with.

I have lived in a number of stormy states, and places that had just plain weird weather. Some I have pictures of. Others, just stories.

I now live in PA, and I thought I was away from the worst of it. Was I wrong! One month after I bought my house, it was hit by lighting, big lightning, 2 feet from the head of my bed. Hit the foundation in 7 different places. Tons of pictures, big insurance claim, lots of findings and stories. I am still repairing the damage. I just today filled in a 14" wide, by 7" deep by 15' long trench that was blown out of the backyard. I still have to fill the other trenches that were blown out at the same time.

Both my sisters live with violent weather and have great stories. I am thinking of compiling our stories into a book.

I usually choose to live rural and close to nature, so I am very aware and sensitive to weather. I also know that rattlesnakes know when a violent storm will happen within 24 hours. That is another story...

I've seen snow tornados, hail the size and shape of Lifesavers, snowstorm lightning, monster desert flash floods, derachos, chinook winds, hurricanes, tornados, tropical storm floods, sandstorms, earthquakes from nearby volcanos, baseball sized hail, etc.

It is a good thing I am an outdoors type person, I kayak, mountain bike, hike, sunbathe, fix lightning damage on my house, hammock, grill, etc.

I am watching the weather channel as I type this... the tornado cell will pass south of me. I'm more worried about he lightning, though.
